Job description

We are seeking a Senior Architect to lead the design, architecture, and support the development of the strategic roadmap of the ServiceNow platform across the organization. The ideal candidate will have deep technical expertise in ServiceNow modules (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, WSD, SecOps), enterprise integration patterns, and architectural best practices. This role plays a critical part in aligning ServiceNow capabilities with enterprise goals, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Architecture & Design

• Lead the design and architectural blueprint for ServiceNow implementations, ensuring alignment with enterprise IT strategy.

• Define standards and best practices for ServiceNow architecture, including performance optimization, scalability, maintainability, and security.

• Architect and oversee the configuration and customization of core modules such as ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, HRSD, SecOps, and custom applications.

• Define reusable architectural patterns for workflows, integrations, and data models.

Strategic Platform Leadership

• Develop and maintain the ServiceNow platform roadmap in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders.

• Evaluate new ServiceNow releases and features; lead upgrade planning and impact assessments.

• Guide platform governance, data integrity policies, and platform health strategies.

Integration & Ecosystem Management

• Architect integration solutions between ServiceNow and enterprise systems (e.g., SAP, Active Directory, Azure, APIs, SIEM).

• Ensure consistent data flow, identity management, and secure API usage across platforms.

• Lead the design of MID server strategies, orchestration scripts, and REST/SOAP integrations.

Stakeholder Collaboration

• Engage with enterprise architects, business leaders, service owners, and delivery teams to align ServiceNow solutions with business goals.

• Translate complex requirements into scalable technical solutions while balancing cost, performance, and user experience.

• Provide architectural guidance to ServiceNow developers, admins, and project teams.

Governance & Compliance

• Ensure compliance with internal IT standards, enterprise architecture frameworks, and external regulatory requirements.

• Lead risk assessments, impact analyses, and architectural reviews.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related discipline.

• 8+ years of overall IT experience, with 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow experience in design and architecture roles.

• Proven experience with multiple ServiceNow modules and large-scale deployments.

• Strong understanding of ServiceNow’s data model, architecture, and platform capabilities.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• ServiceNow Certified Technical Architect (CTA) or Certified Master Architect preferred.

• Other certifications: ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, ITSM/ITOM Implementation Specialist.

• Expertise in ITIL v4, TOGAF, or similar enterprise architecture frameworks.

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

• Strong grasp of security controls, role-based access, encryption, and compliance requirements.
