VITA Group is seeking a Frontend Developer to support building and maintaining user interfaces. You will gain experience in web technologies and collaborate with backend teams to deliver responsive, interactive features for our applications.
Please note: This is an on-site position based in Lebanon. The employee may be required to travel internationally for short-term work trips to any Vita office.
Key Responsibilities
Frontend Development
• Assist in developing frontend components using JavaScript, PHP, HTML, and CSS.
• Implement simple UI features such as forms, lists, and interactive elements.
• Collaborate with backend developers to integrate APIs.
• Ensure responsive and user-friendly designs under guidance of senior developers.
• Execute additional related tasks assigned by the Director of Strategic Innovation and Technology.
API Integration & Collaboration
• Work with backend developers to connect APIs to frontend components.
• Support data handling, display, and error management in the UI.
• Participate in code reviews and team discussions to improve code quality.
Testing & Deployment
• Assist in debugging and fixing frontend issues.
• Contribute to testing features for usability and performance.
• Work with Docker and GitLab CI/CD pipelines during development and deployment.
Learning & Growth
• Gain practical experience in UI/UX best practices.
• Stay updated on new frontend tools, frameworks, and standards.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience working in frontend or full-stack development.
• Proficiency in JavaScript (jQuery, DOM manipulation, event handling).
• Strong knowledge of PHP, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Experience integrating APIs into frontend applications.
• Familiarity with Git/GitLab workflows.
• Ability to work in Dockerized environments.
• Understanding of cross-browser compatibility and responsive design.
Nice To Have
• Experience with modern JS frameworks (React, Vue, or Angular) for future migration.
• Knowledge of Python basics to better coordinate with backend teams.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
• Familiarity with UI/UX best practices and accessibility.
